This website project with local artist and print-on-demand business Jane-Louise Creations was all about turning a long-held creative dream into a real, working online presence. From initial meetings and scoping through to design, build and launch, I worked closely with founder Jane Clayton to create a website that supports her art, her products and her growing business. The final site brings everything together in one place – a curated portfolio of work, space to learn more and get in touch, up-to-date event listings for fairs and markets, and a fully integrated Shopify store where customers can explore and purchase her collections with ease.
Shopfy Store with Easy Print-on-Demand Integration
After meeting face-to-face with Jane to find out what was most important to her, we decided upon the platform, Shopify, as it easy to use, reliable and backed by trusted payment gateways – an ideal choice for a new business with little brand awareness and an entrepreneur who wanted simple website administration.
Shopify also provided Jane with a flexible, scalable platform that would allow her business to grow without further upfront investment. In addition, I could install and set-up a selection of print-on-demand applications so she could work seamlessly with multiple POD partners including Printify, Printful, Artovo, and Gelato – allowing Jane to design and print unresstricted by product choice or cost.
Building Pages for All-round Integration
An amibitous business owner bursting with ideas, Jane needed to incorporate other businesses into her new website. These included her partner company, Garlands and Grace, with Etsy and Folksy shops that we linked within the menu, allowing Jane to use the one website to gather all cutomer traffic.
